FAQ's

Must I have to have my photograph made at school to be in the yearbook?

        No! Thought to consider:

Most yearbooks strive for consistency and have size requirements for their yearbooks. If you will get them to us we can meet those requirements. Many school companies will not make arrangements at the school for re-takes or for those that are out of town when they schedule your appointment. The options you have are to drive where they are or supply your own photograph. If this is an OK option at this point, it will work at the beginning of the year as well.

Should I be required  to pay the school photographer a "sitting" fee to be in the yearbook?

    Definitely no!      Thought to consider.

Did you pay a "sitting fee" when you were a freshman, sophomore, or junior to be in the yearbook?  Are you in the yearbook for those years? The good school contracts require that the photography company provide images of each student for the yearbook. This should be a free service to you for the opportunity to photograph everyone in the school. In some cases a small part of the session fee will go to help cover yearbook productions cost, but most of  it goes to the company that is offering the "free" service to the school.

If you are attending a "public" school, you shouldn't be forced to pay for something "just because". There are some things that would be optional, (attending a ballgame). But not something as important as your senior yearbook photograph.

What if the Yearbook advisor insists that I use the school photographer?

Sometimes this is not worth the fight. However, you should be given the same options as all the other seniors without having to pay a "sitting" fee. Sometimes they will photograph you without a sitting fee, only take one shot and not let you see it before it goes in the yearbook. Let's face it, the world is digital now. It will not cost them anything more to take several images and let you choose. Be proactive if this is presented to you. Or save the hassle all together, pay the "sitting" fee and cross your fingers.

What choice do I really have?

The choices are what  you make them.  At C & C we are proud to work with our graduating seniors. If you are forced to pay the "sitting" fee at school, bring us your receipt and we will give you credit towards your session. While session/sitting fees are needed to help maintain a quality presentation and make the availability of quality portraits to many times they are abused.

Talk to your yearbook advisor or students in the class, find out what your options are.

With C & C your satisfaction is guaranteed. We want you to be happy with the image that may follow you the rest of your life!
